Last year, Trace3 awarded the 2014 Outlier Award to Frank Palase, Senior Vice President Strategy and Innovation – IT, DirecTV. At DirecTV, Mr. Palase drove a fundamental change in the direction of the company’s business focused on making the company more customer centric. Working with multiple business leaders at DirecTV, Mr. Palase designed a new shared IT-business process model to foster collaboration in and among teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience at multiple customer contact points.
As part of this effort, Mr. Palase pioneered a new category of mobile applications for DirecTV’s field service group, which centered on providing valuable information to allow the field service agent to do a better job and drive a positive Net Promoter Score (NPS), a customer loyalty metric that measures the willingness of customers to recommend a company’s products or services to others.
