Michael Fitzgerald is the Vice President of Sales at Trace3. With over 20 years of high-tech sales experience, he leads the sales organization and works directly with customers, partners and employees on developing business strategy to drive growth.
Before Trace3, Fitzgerald held many sales and sales leadership roles with such technology bell weathers as 3Com, Cisco and NetApp. While at NetApp, he pioneered significant sales growth in the Pacific Northwest Enterprise and Service Provider markets and was instrumental in cultivating NetApp’s public and hybrid cloud strategy with Amazon and Microsoft. Prior to NetApp, he spent 12 years at Cisco in various roles in the Service Provider Sales organization. In addition to consistently exceeding sales targets, he was instrumental in the development of several new franchises in partnership with his customers.
It was with AT&T Wireless that Fitzgerald led the sales engagement which created a joint development opportunity for Cisco in the Mobile Packet Core solution space, establishing a multibillion-dollar franchise for the company. As a sales leader on the Microsoft account, he drove the partnership between Azure and Cisco that led to the joint development of the Nexus 7000 platform to serve as their core switching platform for their next generation data center design.
Fitzgerald graduated with a degree in Geology from the University of Montana and currently lives in Arizona. When not at work you can find him playing competitive ice hockey, biking, hiking, and golfing the local courses.
